• Playa Bolonia boasts impressive sand dunes that seem to stretch endlessly along the coast. Hike them up and you’ll enjoy a very special view.
• Valdevaqueros Beach offers a mesmerizing landscape of dunes and endless stretches of sand. It is perfect for both kitesurf, relaxation and sunset watching;
• Visit Playa Los Alemanes and Playa del Canuelo, and make sure to venture to the Mirador Camarinal for awe-inspiring views of both beaches and the lighthouse.
• Indulge in the local delicacies and fresh seafood at the beachside chiringuitos of Zahara de los Atunes, accompanied by the soothing sound of crashing waves on the immense Playa de Zahara.

If you’re longing for a change of scenery, take a day trip to the nearby city of Cadiz, only an hour away from Tarifa. Explore the beautiful city with its charming historic centre, Plaza de España, and the awe-inspiring Cádiz Cathedral. As the day draws to a close, while heading back to Tarifa, stop for dinner at the coastal town of Conil de la Frontera and treat yourself to a mesmerising sunset at one of the beachfront restaurants, where you can savour the flavours of Andalusian cuisine while watching the sun dip below the horizon.

May and September (pleasant weather with thinner crowds) or June to August (peak season and warmer temperatures).

My personal recommendation for very convenient exploration and great budget is Apartamentos Villa Pirata Tarifa.
Alternatively, Tarifa Old Town could also provide a very scenic stay (just filter for property with parking available, as parking situation in peak season can be difficult).

Rent a car (a must to beach-hop and move around freely and fast). Best deals found on Discover Cars and Booking.com.

Top Spots:
Beach Bars – Tumbao in Valdevaqueros (for sunset chill-out vibe) and Balneario in Tarifa town.
Beach Restaurants – Chiriniguito Waikiki (Tarifa), Chiringuito La Luna (Zahara de Los Atunes).
Dinner Restaurants – El Lola (Tarifa), Bar El Frances (Tarifa), Restaurante Francisco Fontanilla (Conil)
